This mp3 set is geared towards children/teens. With readings by popular actors and actresses such as Cody Linley and Emily Osment (of Hannah Montana fame), AnnaSophia Robb (from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and the upcoming Race to Witch Mountain), Corbin Bleu (High School Musical) and Jordin Sparks (who won American Idol season 6). These actors are will should attract children to this set.
It was a good bible reading. Overall Cody Linley does a good job as Jesus. Though, at times his calm monotone voice does get to be a bit too much. Other actors did a good job at their roles. I do wish Sean Astin would have had a bigger role. Though he is not as well known as some of the others on this set, his voice is excellent.
I think this is a good resource for children and teens, so that they can listen to the Bible. A program similar to this but with more of a radio drama (on the vein of Adventures in Odyssey) would have been something I would have enjoyed more.
In the end, if you have young children, this is something that you may enjoying listening to as a family. The mp3 set contains a 40 day listening guide. It would be an awesome resource that way. For teens, it is a fresh way to listen to the Bible. As a reviewer out of the age demographic, I just wish there was a little more to it.
