The Unseen

The Unseen by TL Hines.

Lucas is a loner. He makes his home in office buildings and abandoned buildings. Eating food out of office fridges, watching employees as they worked, out of sight. Making up histories for some of them. Collecting articles from these people to make himself feel less alone. He worked as a dishwasher where his one true friend was a woman named Sarea. Lucas repeated the same manta to himself. “Humpty Dumpty had some great falls.” Until one day when his world was turned upside down by a man named Donovan.

TL Hines does an amazing job in his writing. He provides many, many details for the reader. These details make it seem like, as reader, we are standing next to Lucas. While at first Lucas may seem like a character who is disturbing or weird, he quickly grows upon you. It took a couple chapters of reading for me to get into the book but once I did, it was hard to put down! This book has intrigue, mystery and thrills. It’s almost impossible to know what’s coming until the very end. And does it have an interesting ending! It is definitely a book worth picking up.

Hey, thanks for taking the time to read and review. As you probably guessed, one of the things that interested me about this story was writing about a character who is strange and off-center on the outside, but somehow likable inside.
