New Computer
For all those tekkies out there…
I’m building my own computer within the next week or two…so I’m ordering all my parts. It’s going to be pretty cool…I’m hoping it runs a little better than my current laptop. My laptop isn’t bad…but it’s not built for the amount of programs I have on it…and the hard drive is almost full. But for anyone interested, here’s the specs on the computer that I’m building:
Motherboard: ASUS M3A32-MVP Deluxe AM2+/AM2 AMD 790FX ATX AMD
Graphics card: DIAMOND Radeon HD 1GB 128-bit GDDR2 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready
RAM: G.SKILL 8GB (4 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2
Processor: AMD Phenom 9500 Agena 2.2GHz 4 x 512KB L2 Cache 2MB L3 Cache Socket AM2+ Quad-core
Computer case: XION II XON-103 Black SECC Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
Disc drives: One DVDRW/CDRW drive, and one LightScribe laser DVDRW/CDRW drive.
Hard Drive: Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD7500AAKS 750GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s
So in other words…this computer should last me for quite awhile.

Yes, you heard (er…saw) right! I was shocked to find out it is going to be that cheap. A friend of mine told me that it was cheaper to build your own computer…and now I find out that it really IS!
Also, for all interested, I’m buying all of my parts (except for the lightscribe DVD drive) from www.newegg.com, which is basically THE site to go to for computer stuff.
